Funeral services for Charles Bruce Harting, 79, of 1200 Tuttle Ave., will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home here. Rev. Frank Little will officiate. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Jamestown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Harting, who lived most of his life in the Crawfordsville and Jamestown area, died Monday morning at Culver Hospital where he had been a patient since Sunday. He sold and tuned pianos and also taught music during his lifetime. He was a graduate of Valparaiso University. He was born in Jamestown Oct. 21, 1891, the son of Isham and Ada Jones Harting. He was married to Elinor Helmer. He was preceded in death by his wife. Mr. Harting was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Crawfordsville. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Cox of Ventura, Calif.; a son, Sherman B. Harting of Logansport; a brother, Hiram W. Harting of Houston, Tex., and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Irene M. Harting of Crawfordsville. - jlr
